The Outskirts of Inja Village
The Inja village lies now on the Chujsky Pass but long time ago it was an ancient Way of nomad tribes migration, as evidenced the sets of artifacts founded here. Behind the village nearby the road there are the Stone Steles – they are embody conquered enemies of mighty Hero, buried in a huge barrow nearby. In natural boundary Kalbak-Tash there are rock paintings – petroglyphs of various epochs, since a bronze age before the Middle Ages, and even ancient Turks left their marks here! In total there are over 3 thousand drawings of animals, people and … spaceships!!! Not far from here, just in 2 km, in a valley there is a sculpture of the stone soldier, who fallen asleep with his sword for ages. In 300 meters from him there is one more mountain cleft with petroglyphs. This valley has saved up memoirs of several millenniums, and can tell a lot to the adventurer. You also can receive some answers or councils from Spirits which live in the same named Valley. The Inja village represents no special tourist interest but we still very much love it for bread and milk – tastiest in Altai!
